1. How to get there

Monte Carlo is situated in Monaco that is in the heart of Europe. Therefore, you can reach this destination very easily Either by way of flight or by car. If you have the chance, you are very welcomed in the port of Monaco (Port Hercule) if you wish to decide to get there by yacht. It is really important to know that Monaco has no airport. The nearest airport is in Nice, the Nice-Cote d'Azur which is about 25 km far away from Monaco. Hopefully, there is a direct bus from Nice Airport to Monaco which takes about 45 minutes. Of course, there is an option to go there by helicopter as well which only takes a 7-minute flight.

2. Accommodation

Monte Carlo is the symbol of luxury and exclusive style. There are numerous high-style hotels in Monaco out of which you can definitely choose the one you want and I am sure that the quality of the service and the pleasure will meet the expectations. Moreover Monte Carlo is the place where you can find a Ferrari or a McLaren at every corner.  If you want to have a good coffee you can choose one of the many cafés with a view of the Mediterranean Sea.

Having a yacht here is a great option to have an absolute pleasure enjoying the wonderful view at sunset.

Moreover, you can also jump across to nice to have a lovely day at Cote d’Azur.

4. Cost of poker

One of the most famous casinos and surely the oldest one is the Casino de Monte-Carlo. With more than 100,000 square feet of space, it can offer various opportunities to spend a really good time in the casino by playing, for instance, some hands of poker. In case you just popped in for some meal (which I doubt) you can choose from the 18 restaurants of the casino where I am sure you can find something worth eating. The casino itself is really classy which perfectly fits for the fabulous environment of Monaco.

There is a EUR 17 entry fee to pay by which you have an admission to the Royal Casino. Needless to say that there is a strict dress code. The gaming rooms, slot machines and restaurants are open from 2pm to 4am.

Not surprisingly, Casino de Monte-Carlo is the venue of the European Poker Tour (EPT) poker series organised by PokerStars. The upcoming event will be held between April 28 – May 7, 2022.

Of course, the price of playing poker in Monte Carlo is quite expensive. At FPS Main Event the buy-in is EUR 1,100 however if you wish to play at EPT High Roller the buy-in of that is EUR 25,000. Moreover, at EPT Super High Roller which will take place between May 1-3, 2022 the buy-in is EUR 100,000.

At Casino de Monte-Carlo the minimum amount you can bet is €5 while the maximum is €2000. If you go and play in a private room, the minimum amount of bet jumps to €10 and, no surprise, there is no cap on maximum bets.

On average of $2,000 – 2,500 per day you can have a quite good time playing poker in Monte Carlo. Needless to say that there are much more expensive places. To sum up the expenses of travel, accommodation and poker it will cost around $8,000 to stay and enjoy playing poker in Monaco for a weekend however it may go up much more depending on your style.

If it happens that you cannot travel to Monaco for some reason then and you have to stay at home, you should choose our free $25 starting capital of Chico network.
